Thanks for visiting this page. I feel that my faith in Christ is central to who I am and why Allpro even exists. When I was 21 years old, I had gone through school focused on being a policeman. Every course I took, was centered on that goal.I attended College and took a 2 year Law Enforcement program and thought I was all set. The problem was I was small in stature and wrote 90+ on entrance exams, but was turned down for my size. After two failed attempts, I was losing hope. At the time, I was working a labourer job in a confectionery plant and hated my job. I was beginning to believe that I was destined to produce chocolate for the rest of my life. I had a supervisor named Tom. He was a little different. Tom always smiled and seemed to be even keeled about life. He would check on me every once and awhile, in my little corner in the plant , and always encouraged me and said I was doing a great job. (I thought...Ya right, because no other person would do my job) Problem was, He was sincere and seemed to care. Tom would talk about God and Jesus and I was polite but non attentive. He asked if I ever went to church and I said when I was a kid before my parents divorced. I told him I had my first communion. I figured that was worth something. One day Tom asked me if I liked to read. He gave me a book by Hal Lindsey called" The late Great Planet Earth". He explained that this was a book about Bible Prophesy and how it was 100% accurate to today. My curiosity was up and and I thought it had something to do with U.F.O.'s. Once I started reading, I had a million questions. Why this...and why that..and how come this..and this began my thinking that if the Bible was true, where does that put me. I was a good guy. I only drank casually with friends, had a girlfriend and we weren't living together, smoked a pack-a-day, and swore too much. Not too bad considering other people I knew. Tom explained that all things were predestined by God, including me. That God sent His only Son Jesus to die for my sins. I casually brushed him off and did my thing. Then along came Tammy. Tom's friend of course. Yes, Joy unleashed Tammy! Always bubbly, always smiling, friendly as the day is long and ...you guessed it...a Christian. I was being double teamed by God. Tammy and I hit it off instantly. We became good bud's. I could ask her questions about my talks with Tom and she would explain the same thing as Tom and I would finally get it. On November 21, 1981 in my basement apartment...I knelt beside my bed and asked Jesus if He was real, to be my Lord and Savior and forgive me for what I had done in my life. There was no fireworks or flash of light in my room...just peace and knowing that God was there. The next day at work, I walked in and saw Tammy coming up the hall. She greeted me as usual and took one look at me and shouted.." You gave your heart to the Lord, didn't you?" The whole place I'm sure heard it but I didn't care. I said "yes I did" and she gave me a huge 'holy' hug right then and there. My life changed. I started having compassion for people I didn't like. God took cigarettes away completely and I haven't had a craving since. Six months later I was hired by a police service and served 9 great years. Has everything been perfect since...by no means. Deciding to enter new home sales and marketing was difficult. God gave me a great wife of 21 years (and going), three wonderful children who all follow the Lord, and blessings beyond what I can explain just here. So why tell you? I believe we all get to the point in our lives where we evaluate who we are and where we are going. You may be there now. I also know that God will do whatever He can to get your attention and let you know how much He cares at certain times in your life. I was a nobody to me back in 1981, but I was a somebody to God. He cared enough to let me know and I care enough to let you know now that God sent Jesus here to die for you and me. We didn't deserve it...it was a free gift of grace from God. My sincere prayer is that you take the time to seek God's prompting. You didn't read this by accident. I am always available to talk with you at any time. The phone number on my site is to my office. God richly bless you, Larry J. Clark |
